The Bessemer is a 128-unit apartment building completed in partnership with Schafer Richardson and Redesign.
It is the first apartment building in the neighborhood in 40 years to be built without income limits and contributes studio, one and two-bedroom units for middle-income families just one block from the Hiawatha bike path and Franklin Light Rail Transit Station. Building features include extensive bike parking for residents and a new trail connection available to the public through a park dedication easement. The building is under construction and on track to open in late 2021.
Noor joined the team who has been working on the project for 10 years, and was able to secure TIF from the City of Minneapolis, this was the first and only project that is non-income restricted housing to receive TIF from the city of Minneapolis.
